New user Posts: 1 | My story begins a year ago when i bought my first bike ever an 07 zx 6. The bike was everything i dreamed of, fast handled great and looked sweeter than a hot cherry pie out the oven. I went in, found the bike, the salesperson told me about it, i filled out some credit check crap and waited.....for 2 hours. Not knowing what was going on i finally found my salesman and asked what the hold up was, it dont take no 2 hrs for a dang credit check. Finally he came back and said everything was great. so of course he whips out a paper with the numbers on it, specifically the list price of the bike and some fees. No big deal, everything looked in order so i initialed not thinking of anything but how sweet the bike looked. I of course went back to the bike and adored it some more, and took note that the list price was 9000. so then i go to finance and look everything over and was looking good. the thing i didnt catch until now during tax season is that the list price changed from 9k to 13k in the matter of 10 minutes it took to do the paperwork. we are talking ONLY about the list price, not the other fees. Distracted by calls from people on my cell, i didnt take note that the final charge ended up being 16k!!!!! Now almost a year later when im seeing this i point it out to my buddies thinking that they may have just made a mistake. NO. Myself and 4 friends just got rode for almost 80k for bikes that should total no more than 40k. This is ridiculous. Tomorrow i begin the fight to see if i can get this resolved. I know in the end im just gonna get lines about how i shouldnt have signed the final line if i noticed, but the fact still remains that that was not the price we had agreed upon. Pray for me. And in conclusion avoid this location at all costs. they are a deathtrap. and on a side note since then i bought a harley from arrowhead harley and they got things right and not only that but they laid into metro motorsports for their dirty deeds and questioned what they are doing. Arrowhead harley good, Metro bad.

Veteran Posts: 160 ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Surprise, Arizona | Funny thing is..... Arrowhead Harley is owned by RideNow. But yeah, when I needed a back tire for my warrior and the RideNow Surprise told me they could not get me a tire from Arrowhead Harley, Funny when I called, Arrowhead Harley was more than accommodating on getting me the tire. Maybe Harley Davidson requires a higher standard then the Japanese Bike companies do. Maybe they have to keep a tighter reign on that dealership so they do not lose their HD license. But yeah, Metro is bad.... REAL bad and they have been at that location for a while. I am surprised there are not more posts about that location.

New user Posts: 2 | I'm not going to go on and say that what they did was right or wrong. Your both at fault in my eyes. Yes they DEFINATELY should have made it clear to you what EXACTLY you were signing. Unfortunately some dealerships know that when someone comes in knowing they want to buy. They can stall them, get them tired of sitting and waiting, and SOME dealerships use this to their advantage. You also can't argue the fact that you did sign the paper. If they lied on the form you signed, then that's on them, but it is your responsibility to know exactly what your signing. It is a shame that you have to watch your back so closely these days, but it is the sad truth.

It is a shame that you have to watch your back so closely these days, but it is the sad truth. Not sure what you don't see wrong with this. When you take advantage of a situation you do just that.... take advantage, whether it's a credit situation, a waiting game, whatever..... Ride Now has done pretty much the same thing to a friend of mine and his R6. The list was a little under 9k or 10k, he would have to supply the actual details, this is just from what I remember him saying. Anyway, in short, Yamaha recalled the R6 because Yamaha made a mistake with the max RPM's on the 06R6.When calling RideNow to return the bike, not only did RideNow play dumb about the entire situation until it was too late, he found out he could have gotten the R1 for what he paid for his R6. When he ask the salesman what was up with that... he told my friend, well, that's nothing, we have sold the R6's for more than what you got charged. With my situation, I NEVER saw my paperwork. They said my credit was not good enough and I would need a co-signer. Fine, I get a co-signer which ended up being the only signer. I ask Jeff if I can see the numbers on the bike, well no, we sent the paperwork off to your co-signer... Me, "What, you don't have a copy for me to look over?" No, he stated that they sent it all off. Now I find that so hard to believe..... Why would someone send out EVERYTHING and not keep a store copy for record. Let's keep in mind this is the same Sales manager that told me there was no such thing as a tire warranty. Now that was a blatant LIE! And after telling corporate about this... the man still has his job. I find out later, that all the paperwork that was sent to my signer was blank. They were under the assumption that I saw everything and was ok with it.... and signed and sent it back..... so they too were kept in the dark in this. So I never saw the paperwork until everything was signed and the deal was closed. Now tell me you don't find that misleading and just plain WRONG? Fuck man, I was honest with these people, I was in a situation where I needed out of my Jeep, the payment was too high, my business was slow, gas was almost 3.00 a gallon and the jeep got 15 mpg.... I needed something more economical.... Oh yeah, we can help, not a problem.... Where I like the bike I have, I would have rather had the smaller engine I originally went in for as this Warrior get shitty gas mileage.... I have to stop every 98 miles and fill up..... it's like the hummer of motorcycles (of course, Ride Now claims there is nothing wrong with the bike... I am not a kid so I do not ride the bike like an adolescent and burn gas, rubber or shit like that, so if there is nothing wrong with the bike, why do others with the same set up get 40-50 a gallon and I am lucky to get 30 mpg?). So again, not what I wanted and they manipulated me and played me like an instrument. YEAH, I know.... it's all my fault.... right? Yeah, I shoulda walked away, I should have seen right through their friendly smiles and helpfulness and just mistrusted them off the bat right? It's a sad world when we have to live like that don't you think? Look, there is nothing wrong with making profit, hell, we all gotta eat, however when you take advantage of good trusting people to make more profit, then there is something wrong. I tried to sell cars when I was in my early 20's.... it lasted 2 weeks.... I had to quit cause I had a problem with the way they got sales.... where not illegal, I felt it unethical and against my values. Figured bike shops would be different as bikers are mostly good people. Even the hard core bikers, hells angels and so on that I have met in my life, have ALWAYS been down to earth good people. But what do I know.... I struggle to meet bills every month running an ethical/honest business while these crooks (RideNow) live high on the hog. (no pun intended).
